How it works

Private conversion in three steps

Your browser reads the workbook, prepares one CSV per worksheet, and stores the result locally so opening the same file again is instant.

01

Select a workbook

Choose a supported Excel file, or download a Google Sheet as Microsoft Excel or OpenDocument first.

02

Convert locally

The file is processed on your device. New files count toward the five-conversion daily browser allowance.

03

Download each sheet

Because CSV holds one table, multi-sheet workbooks produce a separate, clearly named download for each worksheet.

Converter FAQ

What the tool supports, stores, and protects.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser. The local cache and daily counter are stored only in that browser.

How do I convert a Google Sheet?

Open the Sheet, choose File → Download, then select Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) or OpenDocument (.ods). Drop the downloaded file into this converter.

Does opening a cached file use another conversion?

No. If the exact same file and safety setting are still in this browser’s cache, the saved result is reused and does not use another daily conversion.

What is formula protection?

CSV apps can interpret values beginning with formula characters as commands. The default protection adds a visible apostrophe so those values stay text when opened.
